Wouldn't it be great if you could build and maintain your own website without having to pay someone every time you needed a change made?
This course was written for people who know their way around a computer, but need some guidance when it comes to:
- Choosing and purchasing your very own domain name
- Choosing and signing up for a web hosting provider
- Setting up your domain name to point to a web hosting provider
- Understanding the basics of HTML
- Setting up and using free web development tools such as a FTP Client and text editor
- Choosing and installing templates to use with your site
- Using CPanel to update and maintain your site
- Backing up and restoring your site with CPanel
- Monitoring traffic on your site with AWStats
- Much more!
As with all of our students, your attendance of this course automatically gives you free access to all of our private forums and private knowledgebase articles for one year. We believe your education should not stop in the classroom, so we encourage you to participate in the forums and check the ever-growing list of knowledgebase articles when you need help. Our instructors asked to submit at least one helpful and informative article for each day of class they teach and to actively participate in the forums (our instructors are also the forum moderators).
